Hugo update for everyone who thought to ask about him.

I just want everyone to know that my baby Hugo died 4/29/08, Tuesday night at the vet.
We brought him back to go under oxygen but he didn't recover as he had done before.
This is the first time I have been able to bring myself to post this.
My mom still doesn't even know. She knows I spent thousands on vet bills, and thinks that I'm a bit mad, but hasn't asked how he is doing. Oh well.

Bungee is actually doing really well without her fat little friend/partner in crime. I was afraid she would become depressed but she is managing fine on her own.

Mabel's marking has improved markedly (pun intended) and she is actually blossoming into quite the goober. Now that she doesn't have to compete with Hugo for out-time.

I will continue to post about my two remaining bun-pies - thanks to everyone for their patience.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a feeling when I saw your condolence post about Archi Ann that something had happened. Just know you did everything possible and more.
Hugo was the best and I'll miss his mushy bunny face.
At least you have Mabel and Bungee to cheer you.
Binkie Free Hugo ^0^

I'm so sorry. We love Hugo and we'll miss him as we think of him frolicking on the other side of the bridge. We will honor his memory by sharing our love with other buns still here who need us.

Nose-kisses and ear-rubs, Hugo!

We are so sorry to hear about Hugo. We had a terrible feeling that something must have happened when we kept checking and there weren't any new posts. It's very sad, but you did everything you could and when it is time, it is just time. Nothing we can do to keep them here. Our thoughts are with you. We looke forward to hearing about Bungee and Mabel!

Awwww ... dang. You know, the same thing happened to our beloved Stanley just a month ago. We tried and tried but nothing worked. Now he is not in such discomfort and we are finally relieved and accepting.

Thanks for sharing ... we were watching and wondering too.

Hope it works for you. Take care of those other guys!

i'm glad you were finally able to share and let everyone know so we could all love on you with hugs and nosebumps. i know it's been hard for you. i'm glad you have mabel and bungee too - it's never easy but that helps. after archi passed i decided to keep zinger (in a VERY safe enclosure from big dumb puppy) because the thought of not having the little pals would kill me.

looking forward to pictures of the 2 trouble makers!

you guys have been such great friends and helping me via email when i first got into the whole bunny parenting thing :-) you're pretty special!

So sad to hear about Hugo. I'm glad you have Bungee and Mabel to comfort you. I've always found it odd that others don't understand why we would spend as much as we do on vet care for our pets.

Sending nose bumps and purrs. We know that he is off doing binkies in the wild flowers with The Tid,Archi Ann, Stanley and all our bunny friends who've left us.
